Swap - Vizby

E-commerce technology company Swap has announced the acquisition of Vizby, a Shopify-based AI visibility platform. With the acquisition, the company has added a new technology layer to its platform that tracks how brands and products are discovered, recommended, and converted into sales across AI services such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Swap Discovery Will Connect AI Visibility with Sales

Following the acquisition, Vizby’s technology will be integrated into the platform under the name “Swap Discovery.” The system measures how brands appear across major AI platforms for high-purchase-intent queries, compares their visibility with competitors, and identifies gaps that prevent products from becoming more discoverable. It then provides brands with prioritized improvement actions.

According to research conducted by the company with Digiday involving more than 100 brands, 62% of respondents said that increasing brand discoverability was their most important goal within agentic commerce. The research reflects a period in which consumers are increasingly using generative AI tools alongside traditional search engines when searching for products.

It Will Be Able to Make Direct Changes in Shopify Stores

The new system does more than report on AI visibility. It can create structured data, editorial content, schema, and agents.md files within Shopify infrastructure, while also auditing product and collection information. In addition, it can track which products and SKUs convert AI-generated traffic into sales.

It was announced that VIGO Industries, which uses Vizby technology, increased its AI-driven sessions by 91.3% within two weeks, while traffic originating from AI accounted for approximately 3% of total revenue.

Swap Covers the Agentic Commerce Journey End to End

The company launched its agentic Storefront and Checkout+ products earlier in 2026. With the acquisition of Vizby, Swap aims to bring product discovery, shopping, payment, delivery, and returns together within a single e-commerce infrastructure. The platform also serves more than 1,000 brands across cross-border commerce, tax, returns, and global compliance.

Swap Founder and CEO Sam Atkinson said that the question brands ask most frequently about agentic commerce is, “Will AI recommend us?” He stated that with Swap Discovery, the process can be managed through a single platform from the moment a product is first discovered through purchase and delivery. As the role of artificial intelligence in product discovery continues to grow across retail and e-commerce, Swap’s new structure focuses on directly connecting brands’ AI visibility with sales performance.
