Dubai CommerCity has signed a cooperation agreement with Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (HSITPL) to support technology and e-commerce companies in accessing international markets. The partnership aims to develop digital trade, expand the cross-border operations of technology companies, and increase mutual investment opportunities between the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Hong Kong, and mainland China.
Dubai CommerCity and HSITP to Cooperate on Cross-Border Trade
Dubai CommerCity, operating as a joint venture between Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) and Wasl Group, has established a cooperation framework with Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park to facilitate technology startups' operations in different markets. The agreement was announced following the Dubai Business Forum, China event organized by Dubai Chambers in Shenzhen, China.
Under the partnership, Dubai-based companies will be able to expand into the Hong Kong and mainland Chinese markets through Loop Hong Kong Park in Hong Kong. Technology companies based in Hong Kong and Shenzhen will have opportunities to access the UAE and Middle Eastern markets through Dubai.
Companies to Receive Office, Entrepreneurship, and Investor Support
The cooperation includes providing technology companies with office spaces, company establishment services, and entrepreneurship programs. The parties also plan to organize joint events, mentoring activities, technology exhibitions, and investor meetings.
Dubai CommerCity General Manager Amna Lootah stated that the partnership aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, noting that establishing connections between innovation ecosystems would support digital companies' access to international markets.
HSITPL CEO Vincent Ma stated that the agreement aims to support companies' international expansion by bringing together the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Hetao Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone and Dubai's technology ecosystems.
Cooperation in E-Commerce and Artificial Intelligence Expands
